Tiny Tower : iPhone App

I have had many apps over the last 10 months since I first got my iPhone that I haven’t been able to put down and been wasting far too much time on. But after just a few days of having Tiny Tower, it may have already topped that list of addictive apps.

The aim of this free app for iOS devices is to manage and build your own tower full of shops, restaurants and “Bitizens”. Bitizens are the cute little pixelated characters that live and work in your tower, you give them homes and jobs, then they make you money to expand your tower further.

Little features of the app like “Bitbook”, the Bitizen’s own version of Facebook makes this app brilliant, and although it is kind of a needless extra to the game really, it’s just an added touch that makes the app that much better.

Your Bitizen’s all have different personalties, skills and dream jobs, and it is your job as the manager of the tower to help these Bitizen’s get to work in their dream job in your tower as it grows.

Deciding what type of stores to build on each floor, which Bitizen to get which job and taking visitors to the floor they want to go to using the elevator are all parts of the game which give you total control over the tower to make it exactly how you want to.

However it is the restocking of the shops and restaurants which makes this game devilishly addictive, as the push notifications keep coming thick and thin with new items that are ready to be stocked in your tower’s floors, and with each item varying in length of time it takes to re-stock, this app will give you a hell of a lot of push notifications!

Sometimes these push notifications can get annoying on other apps, but after only having this app a few days, they are hard to ignore at the moment. I’ll decide to stop wasting my life on Tiny Tower, put my phone away, it will go off 30 minutes later and I’ll be hooked on it again!

It really is a great app which you should download if you like things like this, and with cool awards you can get through Game Center as well, it’s cool to compare your tower with friends, and compete to get the tallest tower!
