The Social Network – Review

When I first heard about a “Facebook movie” I kind of thought what is this world coming to. The world’s most used social networking site, that most of us use religiously, now has a movie made about it.

However, after getting over the fact that Facebook is slowly taking over our digital world, I began to get excited about seeing the story behind this revolutionary website.

Studying Digital Media myself I was interested to see how Mark Zuckerburg got the idea for Facebook and the lawsuits behind it, as one day I could maybe be the next youngest billionaire from a little idea.

It was interesting to see the story behind Facebook and how it has quickly become the phenomenon it has. It taught me a few things I didn’t know as well like Napster co-founder Sean Parker was and still is part of Facebook Inc.

You may be confused throughout the opening 10 minutes of the movie as it is a lot of confusing and quick conversation that I definitely struggled to keep up with.

After that I caught up with the fast paced computer talk and it was a very good film, and I would recommend it to anyone who has an interest in the Digital Media industry or even if they are interested in the controversial history of the website you check everyday.
